Notice of Request for Proposal


Notice is hereby given that, on behalf of the ten (10) member district in the Purchasing Group, which consists of the Arvin Union School District, Beardsley School District, Edison School District, Fairfax School District, Fruitvale School District, Lamont School District, Norris School District, Richland School District, Rosedale Union School District and Standard School District, will receive sealed proposals for the Request for Proposal Number # 25-10 for the procurement of the following:

Bread, Dairy & Produce

Sealed proposals must be delivered to the District Office at Beardsley School District, 1001 Roberts Lane Bakersfield, CA 93308 no later than 1:00 pm on Monday, May 05, 2025, according to the District Office dedicated time clock for that purpose. 


For the proposal to be considered valid, the Request for Proposal shall be sealed and marked - BREAD, DAIRY & PRODUCE RFP #25-10.  No proposal will be accepted after the noted day and time and will be returned unopened to the Proposer.    


The District is not responsible for proposals sent via U.S. Mail, UPS, Federal Express or by any other delivery service. It is the vendor’s responsibility to ensure that their proposal is delivered to the District Office. Each Proposal must conform and be responsive to the contract documents. No proposal may be withdrawn for ninety (90) days.


The ten (10) Districts within the Purchasing Group collectively, reserve the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive any discrepancy or technicality, and to award the contract for goods and services.  The award of contract will be to the qualified firm who best complies with all the requirements set forth in the proposal documents and whose proposal, in the opinion of the ten Districts while complying with all legal requirements, is in the best interest of the purchasing group. A contract will be awarded to the responsive and responsible proposer, where price is the primary consideration, but not the only determining factor.


CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 

All questions regarding proposal preparation, documents, discrepancies, omissions, the selection process, specifications and interpretations of the terms and conditions must be submitted in writing via email to [email protected] with subject title: RFP #25-10 CLARIFICATION, no later than April 11, 2025,  11:00 am (Pacific Time).
