Superintendents Message

In its long history, Beardsley School District has been known for providing an excellent educational opportunity for all of its students. Throughout its over 120 years, the district has grown from a rural, one-room schoolhouse to four campuses.
 
        Throughout its history, the district has created and fostered a community feeling of support and concern for its students. As the district has grown, the resources for the Beardsley families have grown in the areas of educational support, family resource support, community liaison support, and the daily support of student achievement.
 
        Beardsley is known for the family and community feeling that has been evident for its entire history. The world-renowned Beardsley Marching Band and the Annual Fall Carnival are just two of the many notable achievements within the community.
 
        The Beardsley Foundation continues to raise funds to support special student-related activities on all four campuses. Each fall, the Foundation supports a Growler Golf Tournament and the Fall Carnival. The community support from within and from outside the Beardsley family is extensive. In the spring, a Growler Skeet Shooting Tournament offers many members within the county the opportunity to offer on-going support for the Foundation and its support of Beardsley students.
 
Being such a small district provides the opportunity for parents and community members to become involved in many forms: local School Site Councils, English Language Advisory Councils, Curriculum Advisory Council, District English Language Advisory Council, and Parent-Teacher Clubs/Organizations. The community support of Beardsley has been an on-going support that has made Beardsley successful.
 
        Academically, the exceptional Beardsley staff provides multiple opportunities for learning and successful achievement within the classroom and other activities. The district continues to meet the national NCLB expectations and each site works hard to meet the yearly growth targets. Throughout the year, communication with the parent provides support and information to engender home support for the student.
 
        We at Beardsley provide educational and emotional support to our students in order to help them become self-sufficient, self-reliant adult members of our democratic society. The staff wishes to instill in our students the knowledge, insight, and responsibility that will provide successful futures for each of our students.
 
        In short, it’s “all about the kids.”
